Our Story

2013
While studying at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, Esayas embarked on a transformative journey. He took a side job at Ekoboerderij de Lingehof, an organic biodynamic farm. This experience reignited his childhood farming passion and forged a lasting friendship with the farmer André.
2018
After his studies, Esayas returned to Ethiopia dreaming of starting his own farm. With the support of André and a small group of Dutch farmers and friends from the Netherlands, he began the search for suitable land. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Esayas persevered in his quest.
2022
Finally, after a few years of search, he was granted 40 hectares of fertile land in Sodo city, Ethiopia. This marked the beginning of the farm. While there is still much work ahead, Prana is gradually but tirelessly working towards the establishment of a stable and thriving agricultural venture.
